Hunter Schafer Stuns During Hunger Games Press Tour

Hunter Schafer

Hunter Schafer has made a name for herself in both the media and fashion world since her breakthrough debut as Jules in HBO’s Euphoria in 2019.

Schafer has modeled for brands such as Prada and Mugler and has been featured on the covers of Elle, i-D, and Another. Schafer also serves as the face of Prada since 2021, the same year she attended her first MET Gala.

Schafer has thoroughly cemented herself as a powerhouse in both the modeling and fashion world, and her outfits throughout the press tour for The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes continue to prove that point.

Fittingly, Schafer plays Tigris, a fashion forward character and cousin of the up-and-coming Coriolanus Snow, who Tigris serves as the designer for in the film.

“Tigris kind of feels like the first character piece I’ve really done that’s not like a teenage girl who is kind of like one step away from who I am,” Schafer says of her role, as reported by Teen Vogue.

Schafer also commented on whether the fictional Panem would be accepting of LGBTQ identities and how that might look in the Capitol.

“I think it’s giving something similar to America, in that I feel the capital is like one of the metropolitan cities where being gay is ‘what up’ and the party and everything. But then you go down South, and you could get murdered. Maybe a similar vibe,” she says in an interview with Attitude magazine.

Schafer expressed interest in a Tigris spinoff film during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I want to know how we get there,” says Schafer in reference to her character’s striking transformation down the line.

Hunter Schafer’s performance as Tigris marks her first blockbuster film role, as The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, garnered a $101 million dollar global box office opening.
