Admittedly, Ryan Murphy sank his claws into us queers early on, with the onslaught of Glee beginning in 2009. He’s since become one of the most well-known show runners in the biz, and three of his shows—American Crime Story, American Horror Story, and Pose—will now have a home on Hulu, according to an announcement from President Joe Earley.
The first 10 installments of American Horror Story have been streaming on Hulu, with Season 11 returning this fall. FX has ordered more episodes through Season 13.
Impeachment: American Crime Story makes its subscription video-on-demand debut on Hulu today, March 7, following the events that led up to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton through the eyes of Monica Lewinsky. It’s a limited series, with each season diving into a different event in American history. The first season, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, covered the aftermath and trial of Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder; the second season, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, similarly looked at the murder of Italian fashion designer and Versace Founder Gianni Versace.
Both previous American Crime Story seasons will also be available to stream starting today.
Hulu is also adding all seasons, including the third and final season, of Pose. The groundbreaking series featured a huge cast of trans performers, following the characters as they navigate ballroom and LGBTQ culture of the 80s and 90s in New York City. The show made history, prompting a win for Billy Porter, the first openly gay Black man to win an Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama category, and Michaela Jaé (Mj) Rodriquesz, who became the first trans actor to win a Golden Globe for the third season.
“We are thrilled that these captivating and trailblazing series from Ryan Murphy have come to Hulu,” Earley says. “American Crime Story, American Horror Story, and Pose all resonate deeply with audiences in their own ways and continue to set the standard for riveting, character-driven, inclusive storytelling. Alongside our partners at FX and 20th Television, we are proud to offer these prestigious and thought-provoking titles to our subscribers.”
