How to react when someone comes out as HIV+

In case you missed our recent article about how not to react when someone comes out as HIV positive, then you should check that out. And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that child star Danny Pintauro recently came out as positive, and has been making it a point to discuss his HIV status and what’s next for him going forward.

Unlike the women on “The View” who bombarded Danny with questions about taking responsibility for his actions, and whether he regrets being promiscuous, we are looking at you Candace Cameron Bure, the women on “The Talk” talked openly about Danny’s courage, and how this is an issue that needs to be talked about every single day. We, obviously, couldn’t agree more.

Former “Who’s the Boss?” co-star Alyssa Milano could barely hold herself together as she talked about it.

“I hate that it took him so long to feel comfortable, but I’m so glad that he is able to express himself now, and I guarantee you he will change so many lives,” Milano said. “I’m so grateful that this disease is now being discussed again because it feels like there was such a long time that it wasn’t.”
