Photo Gallery: Crafting, Connection, and Community: A Summer Night with Haus of Other
It was a golden summer night dipped in queer creativity and French fries. The Haus of Other Craft Night returned for its fourth iteration last Thursday, hosted in the dreamy backyard cabanas of Champagne Tiger.
“We started Haus of Other crafting nights to offer queer creatives a safe space to channel their societal frustrations and political angst into art,” says Gary, the founder of Haus of Other. “We’ve since watched them evolve into a place to make new friends and form deep connections.”
Attendees gathered around a single long table surrounded by string lights and backyard cabana vibes. With drinks flowing and snacks passed around, everyone leaned into the shared creative energy, swapping stories, sketching out ideas, and planning big things for the next event in July, Aquatica.
“This summer, we’re crafting in the backyard cabanas at Champagne Tiger,” Gary added. “Since the sun doesn’t go down until 9, it’s like crafting on a golden Palm Springs garden patio.”
These nights are about more than simply art. There is a genuine focus on building community, finding joy offline, and holding space for each other in a time where that is more necessary than ever.
