How to Get Away with Murder doesn’t shy away from gay sex

Shonda Rhimes has always championed diversity in her television programs like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder is no exception. Not only are the show’s characters racially diverse, but it would seem their sexualities are more fluid than those portrayed in most television.

In the pilot episode, a group of law students are tasked with learning from a difficult murder case. They’re encouraged to find and extort evidence by any means, and for law student Connor, this means sleeping with another man to extract sensitive information.
