‘Fucking Identical Twins’ to Star Bowen Yang, Nathan Lane, Megan Thee Stallion

Variety has confirmed that Bowen Yang from Saturday Night Live, three-time Tony winner Nathan Lane, “WAP” rap phenomenon Megan Thee Stallion, and incredible comedian Megan Mullally will be joining the cast of A24’s upcoming musical comedy, Fucking Identical Twins.

A24 later shared the announcement via their story on Instagram in the coming soon section.

For anyone out of the loop, A24 is a New York-based, independent, American entertainment company that was founded by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel, and John Hodges—All founders specialized in film, television, production, and film distribution.

Comedians Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp are the writers of Fucking Identical Twins. The musical comedy is based on their two-man stage show which premiered at New York’s epic Upright Citizens Brigade in 2014. Larry Charles from Borat is directing the upcoming film.

Audience members must remain on the edge of their seats, as the specific roles have yet to be announced.

The adaptation of the film encompasses two rival businessmen who come to grips that they’re “Fucking identical Twins.” Their genetic discovery mischievously encourages the twins to switch places, with hopes that they can reunite their parents.

The musical production is proving to be superb thus far—I mean, how could it not. Marius de Vries, who has done musical production for La La Land, Moulin Rouge, and Coda, will once again deliver show-stopping music to this film. It isn’t clear if the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper, Megan Thee Stallion, will provide a hot record for the film’s soundtrack. Though, Fucking Identical Twins will be her first movie debut.

Mullally is staged to appear in an upcoming series reboot of Party Down, and Yang has been promoted to a series regular at SNL. Lane’s last appearance was on Hulu’s original, Only Murders In the Building.

The remaining details are a slow drip as of now, but audience members can expect a dazzling performance by this incredible all star cast.
