The Hallmark channel’s very first LGBTQ holiday movie is set to debut on Sunday, November 22. Starring Mean Girls’ Jonathan Bennett as Brandon and Brad Hader as his husband Jake, the movie follows the queer couple on a trip back to Brandon’s parents’ house for Christmas. An overall light and humorous theme, the couple navigated the uncertain terrain of awaiting on word of their possible first adoption.

“What I love about the characters in the movie is that we aren’t caricatures or stereotypes,” Bennett says. “We are two loving, stable, kind men who are in love and want to start a family of our own,”he tells NBCnews.com.

Dashing In December

Dashing In December was filmed in Colorado! The movie takes place on a family farm with a queer cowboy as the ranch handler. Wyatt Burwall (Peter Porte) comes home from his busy city life for a holiday family reunion.

He’s still trying to convince his mothe, Deb, to sell the family ranch until he meets Health Ramos (Juan Pablo Di Pace). A romance heats up between Wyatt and Health, suddenly selling the ranch doesn’t sound like the best idea. Maybe keeping the old ranch is not the worst idea? Set to air December 13, this holiday TV show will warm up even a Grinch’s heart.
