Six campy music videos by female artists that are giving you life right now

There have been so many good gay anthems that have broken out this summer, and some hilariously campy videos to match. Watch. Laugh. Enjoy.

Ariana Grande – Break Free

Ariana Grande has been erroneously described as the next Britney Spears (sharply [and hilariously] rebuffed over at Buzzfeed, scope it out here) but does bring a clear voice and strong pipes to make a jam that will be played on repeat in gay clubs for a year. This video stars Grande as an alien-ass-kicking-mega-glam-space-princess-with-boob-rockets, so, you know, gay icon.

Demi Lovato – Really Don’t Care

This fun and …colorful video takes place at LA Pride 2014, filled with golden wieners, Perez Hilton, Westboro Baptist Church, and a spiced up Demi Lovato. Watching this video gave the sensation of attending the world’s gayest carnival, which upon second thought, is probably not far off.

Meghan Trainor – All About that Bass

I just found this music video and I have to say, I fell in love with the black guy dancer. The song is great, the video is colored like cotton candy, the lyrics are positive, and that guy can werk.

Kimbra – 90s Music

Orange VHS cassettes, loud animated print design, a zebra print fanny pack. The 90s made a comeback with a vengeance in this ultra cool music video. It’s tubular and radical. Or maybe just rad for short. BRB, gotta go break out my old Dream Phone set and tuck my overlarge t-shirt into some overalls.

Iggy Azalea – Fancy

I know, I know, this song has been played by everyone and their mom all summer long and I’ve already explicitly told you to listen to this, BUT this music video is everything a music video should be- a parody of a 90’s classic. The fashion. The scenes. The badassery of it all. If you haven’t seen this yet, slap yourself across the face and click play. If you have seen it, I have a special treat for you here.

Katy Perry – This is How We Do

Always a contender for Queen of Camp, Katy Perry does not disappoint with this acid trip laundry basket grocery store of a music video.
