Express Yourself! Out Front’s Pride Edition cover contest
Be the inspiration that thousands of people will carry with them to Denver’s PrideFest this year. Submit your photo holding your inspiring message of PRIDE and readers could choose you for an exclusive photo shoot to be featured on Out Front‘s 2013 Pride Edition cover.
Your short statement to the Colorado LGBT community and allies is yours to create – it can be personal, political, funny or simple. Say “I’m hot!” or “Legalize Trans*.” Say “We are all beautiful” or “Gay people know how to party!” Say “Donate to Colorado AIDS Project” or “Civil unions are not enough – full marriage equality!”
Be creative! Whatever you choose, your message of Pride is YOURS.
To Enter:
Show up at an Out Front photography station at a designated event to be photographed you with your message (providing your name and contact info) – OR – submit your own digital photo of you holding your statement on a letter-sized sheet of paper or sign, attached to an email (with your name and contact information) to matt@outfrontonline.com, with PRIDE COVER CONTEST in the subject line.

Contest Launch at Charlie’s

Round 1:
Deadline to enter – April 25.
Voting ends – 11 p.m. April 30.
The top 10 finalists advance to Round 2.
Round 2:
Top 10 announced/Round 2 vote starts – May 6.
Top 10 finalists will appear in a feature in Out Front’s May 15 print issue.
Voting ends – 11 p.m. May 17.
Contest Winners:
The first, second and third–place finalists will be invited to an exclusive professional photo shoot scheduled during the week of May 20; all three will appear with their statements within Out Front’s 2013 Pride Issue, with the winner on the cover.
Cover revealing June 5:
Out Front’s Pride Edition (with the contest winner on the cover) will be revealed at Out Front’s Pride cover unveiling event June 5, 2013!

Rules and Procedures:
Entering the contest gives your consent for Out Front to use your photo in the contest online and in print.
You can only appear in one contest entry; if you enter the contest more than once, only one image of you will appear in the contest. You must be at least 18 years old and provide a full name and contact information with your entry. Submitted images must include the your face and your full written statement (no www addresses to sites that Out Front cannot be responsible for). Submitted images or statements that are obscene, hateful, discriminatory or in violation of Out Front’s print standards for cover photos will not be included in the contest.
If the personal message in your entry photo contains a spelling or grammatical error and you want to replace it, Out Front may accept a re-submitted digital image from you, but not after the top 10 finalists are announced on May 6. If you want to replace a photo, you are responsible for taking and submitting your own replacement photo.
Contestants who wish to be removed from the contest may notify Out Front by email or in person; while we intend to honor the requests whenever possible, we are unable to remove images that have already been published or sent to print.
While we intend for our readers’ public vote to be the top deciding factor in the cover contest, we cannot guarantee a foolproof online voting system on the web. We will make our best effort to remove duplicate votes and to ensure the community’s top choices advance in the contest.
