Embracing the oneness

Embracing the oneness

I am moving into 2012 with a very clear vision and intention for myself.

I recognize that so long as I hold animosity towards another or refuse to accept the expression of who they are, regardless how little that expression resonates with me, I am not being true to the person I claim to be. Wow – is that ever big? So the intention is to embrace the Oneness of all life – every thing and every one. That does not mean condoning or allowing behavior that is out of integrity. It simply means acceptance or all with love for the diversity of the gifts we all bring to the world.

I have a former friend whose gifts I cannot encourage or condone.

In the great scheme of things, he has been very important in my life, as he was instrumental in getting me my first radio show. On several occasions he behaved in ways that I found annoying and embarrassing. I chose to put some distance between us, but always felt a sense of being right and making him wrong. There was that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my gut every time I saw him – you know, that’s the signal that something is not right – with me.

Realizing that he is as much a part of the Oneness as I am, as you are, as we all must be, I decided that I needed to release this energy of separation because what I had really done here was make myself separate from the feeling of that Oneness.

Two weeks ago I saw this person in the lobby of our church. I waited by the door for him as he left and called his name. I simply shook his hand and expressed my gratitude for what he had done for me over four and a half years ago. My radio show is now on VoiceAmerica.com, the largest internet broadcasting company in the world and that would not have been possible if he had not paved the way for me in the beginning. The energy of separation dissipated immediately.

That’s my intention.

I can appreciate and love everyone with whom I come in contact, if I am clear that it is simply the Universe expressing in all Its conceivable variations and disguises.
