Worried you’ll miss out on Halloween festivities this year due to COVID? You can stop those thoughts right in their tracks because City of the Dead has announced their Drive-In Haunted House, an immersive and interactive experience from the creators of Denver’s favorite Halloween events. City of the Dead is working in conjunction with 13th Floor Haunted House to bring you a safe and spooky Halloween experience. This year for the first time ever, we’re letting the monsters out and bringing them to you in the safety of your parked vehicle

Guests will drive into horror where they will experience a haunted show featuring an original multimedia story displayed on a 40′ screen, accompanied by horrifying sets, lighting, sound, effects, and most importantly live characters from City of the Dead that surround the theatre and bring the story to life. Designed by world-renowned haunted house designers and featuring makeup and effects from Hollywood special effects artists, their attractions take fright to a whole new level.

While City of the Dead Haunted House transitions to a new location in 2021, they remind Denver that Halloween isn’t canceled this year. The best horror actors in Denver gather in one location to keep the spirit of Halloween alive in 2020. Rising from the dead is Horror Movie Host, Monte Revolta, to assume management of the theater. With the help of his Minions of the Living Dead, they will bring the latest and gravest in terrifying sights and sounds to life as they host Monte Revolta’s Monster Movie Spooktacular featuring original content as well as creepy short films.

City of the Dead: Drive in Haunted House will take place select nights from September 25th through October 31st. Tickets are on sale now. Capacity is very limited for this event, much lower than usual capacity at City of the Dead Haunted House, and tickets are expected to sell out nightly.
