Drag Icons Boulet Brothers, Asia Consent, to Join Dead By Daylight Game

Drag TV afficionados have and gamers alike have a new project to look forward, as it was announced Wednesday the Boulet Brothers, a drag duo known primarily for their horror-themed reality competition series The Boulet Brothers” Dragula, will be joining the roster of video game Dead by Daylight as playable outfits in the game, as well as the winner of the most recent Dragula episode, Asia Consent, according to a press release from Shorefire Media.

The most recent season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula premiered October 1 on Shudder, with a cast of 12 drag performers, but as of November 26 when the most recent episode of the series came out, only four contestants remained to participate in Episode 9’s competition. Yuri, Grey Matter, Auntie Heroine, and Asia Consent were tasked with the following challenge: design a look based off of an urban myth and create a signature “kill move.” The performers competed for the prize of becoming a playable outfit to be released in the Boulet Brothers expansion of Dead by Daylight, coming in 2025 according to Shorefire Media. Ultimately, Asia Consent beat out the competition with her design, the Winter Wendigo, and its signature kill move “Glacial Gutting.”

“Not only am I on my favorite TV show, but now I get to be in one of my favorite video games ever,” Asia Consent says in a press release. “Start the totems, ready the hooks, and let the chasing begin!”

Dead by Daylight, which debuted in July 2016, has become a prominent name in the horror game community, featuring a multiplayer experience that pits four “Survivor” characters in a race to escape from the “Killer,” starting up generators and evading the player hunting them throughout the level. The game, which currently features 38 playable Killers which each have a unique power, has frequently taken inspiration from the horror genre, much like the Boulet Brothers themselves. With plenty of classic horror villains such as Ghostface and the Xenomorph, to newer properties like villains from Stranger Things and Resident Evil, it’s a no-brainer that the video game would now add the Boulet Brothers into the mix, though the drag duo will be the first horror hosts to join the game’s pantheon.
