DJ Tatiana keeps Denver club scene hot

Known for her spicy Spanish flair and creating some of the biggest dance parties in the LGBT-club scene, DJ Tatiana has turned Denver into a destination for the top not-to-be-missed parties around. While spinning, Tatiana has attitude, sex appeal and talent for throwing down her own flavor of tribal beats and top hits that the late night crowds can’t seem to get enough of. Denver’s very own legendary DJ is turning up the heat in the Mile High City, and there’s no stopping her.

What is the biggest change in pace, night to night, when you are DJing?  [The crowds and energy level] are all directly related and crucial to have a successful night. Crowds change in every city and venue but the main mission is engaging, interacting and entertaining.

What is your favorite aspect of DJing in the club scene?

My favorite part of being a nightclub DJ is definitely the energy level and the big crowds.

Is it difficult to harness the energy needed to be so pumped up, late at night? How do you stay amped?

Not really, music and people pump my natural adrenaline. I love the nightlife and all the beauty that comes with it. Nevertheless, I won’t say no to a sugar free red bull especially when I have to go on stage at 4 a.m. at national gigs or combat jet lag in international performances. Also, having a shot or two with friends is always a treat, nothing wrong with that!

What is your secret weapon, in terms of your individual style?

I believe that as a performer you should always be mindful of the way you look and try to add some spice to your individual style, after all we are entertainers.

What are the differences between DJing at the Pornstar party as opposed to a night at Climax on the rooftop?

Pornstar 2nd Fridays at Bar Standard is more dirty house tribal and progressive beats, while in Climax Sundays at Vinyl I concentrate mostly on the Top 40 remixes (Billboard Music Top 100 style). I love them both; they are just two very fun but very different parties that you must experience!

In your free time, what can you not get enough of?

Free time? Hmm … I don’t get much of that but when I do, I love art (in all of its forms), traveling, soccer and music of course.
