Denver’s Annual Red Ball Moves Online

For over a decade, the Colorado Health Network has been putting on Denver’s premier hair and fashion show. This year’s Red Ball, like so many other large scale events, is being taken into the virtual space.
Typically, Red Ball is held at EXDO Event Center and brings together hundreds of models, designers, stylists, and guests to celebrate the vibrant and unique fashion culture of Denver for a benefit show in honor of World AIDS Day. Yet, due to growing COVID-19 concerns, holding these events in typical fashion is no longer feasible.
This year’s virtual show will feature several returning designers, some of whom have participated in the show for years. Red Ball will also introduce you to up-and-coming student fashionistas from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. All the featured designers share a passion for fashion and the desire to wow audiences with vibrant colors, bold designs, and unexpected details.
Rather than an in-person show, organizers plan to release a series of short videos highlighting Red Ball’s main stage designers, the new designs of student creators, and the history of Red Ball on its website and over its Facebook page from Tuesday, November 23 to Wednesday, December 1. Additionally, there will be a silent auction featuring COVID-friendly activities, fine art, wine and spirits, gifts, fashion masks, and more!
As in past years, all proceeds from Red Ball will go to benefit Coloradans living with and impacted by HIV. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Colorado Health Network has seen a dramatic increase in the number of people living with HIV who need assistance to meet their everyday needs in such critical areas as housing security and access to food and medications. By supporting Red Ball, you will help ensure everyone in need will continue to have access to the vital programs they rely on.
