Demonstrations at the capitol building in Denver have been ongoing since Trump took office, with protestors showing up nearly every weekend as well as some weekdays. Protestors gathered on April 19 as part of a nationwide co-ordinated protest against the Trump administration. Use of the inverted American flag has gained increasing popularity at protests since February when park service employees hung an inverted flag at Yosemite National Park to indicate distress in response to federal funding cuts and the abrupt dismissal of federal employees by the Trump administration.
