Denver Couple The Ellers Running for ‘America’s Favorite Couple’
Have you ever wanted to vote in an official competition for your favorite couple? Well, here is your chance to do just that!
Local married queer couple The Ellers from Denver have been named as quarter-finalists in the 2025 America’s Favorite Couple competition, a national contest that honors authentic love stories from across the United States. This couple would love to have the support of the Denver LGBTQ+ community to help them win. Voting for the competition is currently open. The link to vote is here (you must have a Facebook account to vote).
Morgan and Melissa met nine years ago in film school at the Community College of Aurora, collaborating on a deeply personal documentary. That connection quickly grew into something more. Last fall, the pair tied the knot, and this competition is an incredible way for the couple to celebrate the road they’ve been down together.
This contest isn’t merely just about likes or attention. It’s a rare opportunity to put queer love front and center in the mainstream. Winners will receive: $20,000, a spread in Variety Magazine, national recognition, and the chance to proudly represent their community. Winning this contest would mean the world for this couple. Winning would help them take steps toward building a life together in a home “filled with love, laughter, and hope for the future,” the couple says. “This $20,000 isn’t just a prize—It’s a chance to finally afford our first home, a place where we can create lasting memories and start our family. Your vote helps turn that dream into a real, lasting foundation for our future.”
