Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas join rank, cancel NC tour dates

Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato have become the latest performers to cancel North Carolina gigs to protest the state’s “hateful” anti-queer law, House Bill 2.

The pop duo who are touring together this summer for the Honda Civic Tour posted a joint statement on Twitter announcing the cancellation of the shows in both Raleigh and Charlotte. They recognized the letdown to fans, but hope they will “stand united with us against the law.”

Demi and Nick have 35 shows in cities all over the country listed for their 2016 Honda Civic Tour. There are no longer any North Carolina locations listed on the tour website.
