Dan Levy To Join Sex Education Cast For Season 4

In recent news, Dan Levy is set to join the cast of popular Netflix show Sex Education as the illustrious author and instructor Thomas Molloy. Levy as Molloy will take the role as Maeve’s U.S. tutor at the Ivy League Cavendish Sixth Form College. The Schitt’s Creek star and producer is as excited about it as we are, since he posted a tweet with a photo of him alongside actress Emma Mackey, who plays Maeve, saying, “Sex Ed. Season 4. VERY serious news.”

Levy isn’t the only new cast member to have been added to the roster of the Netflix original that queer folks know and love. Thaddea Graham from Doctor Who and Marie Reuther from Kamikaze are also joining the cast, as well as deaf actress Alexandra James from the BBC Three’s The Break, trans singer Anthony Lexa, Felix Mufti, and Imani Yahshua. We look forward to seeing the performance of these new cast members in the context of Sex Education.

As stated in The Hollywood Reporter, “The news comes after Sex Education’s third season featured the closure of Moordale Secondary. Creative changes followed as four cast members… announced that they would not be returning for the upcoming season.” Those cast members include Simone Ashley from Bridgerton, Tanya Reynolds from The Delivered, Rakhee Thakrar from 23 Walks, and Patricia Allison from Moving On. As stated earlier, they will not be returning for season 4 of the show.

Dan Levy has worked on many other shows and films, such as Happiest Season, made in 2020, Coastal Elites, an HBO original film made in 2020 as well, and Q-Force, which is ongoing. Levy has won multiple Emmy awards for his work on Schitt’s Creek, which he both produced and starred in. Season 4 of Sex Education marks Levy’s return to regular television.
