It’s been 16 months since Schitt’s Creek gave us its tearjerking last episode, and if you’re like me, you still haven’t recovered. Trapped in a cycle of rewatching your favorite episodes over and over again? Randomly employing Moira’s unknown accent and terminology, only to be met with the confused, mildly concerned faces of your peers? I feel you; I see you; I AM you. But worry no longer, for Dan Levy has sent us a gift from the heavens: the official Schitt’s Creek coffee table book.
Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: The Story of Schitt’s Creek is dropping October 26, and we are beyond excited. The book promises to give us new, behind-the-scene details that weren’t included in the documentary of the same name. So, get ready for the nitty gritty on all your favorite characters and even a breakdown of Moira’s notorious vocabulary!
“The show has established a position as the kind of escapist television that we’ve needed in tumultuous times,” Jamie Coleman, publishing director of U.K. publisher’s Trapeze Books, tells The Independent. “To enter the world of Schitt’s Creek is to escape to somewhere you don’t want to leave, and for so many viewers, the series finishing left them bereft. Reading Best Wishes, Warm Regards is like taking a trip back to the Rosebud Motel with the cast as your guide, a feel-good journey back to the creek that we all need.”

The once slept-on pop comedy show rocketed to fame in its last few seasons. It dominated the 2020 Emmy’s, taking home the award for Outstanding Comedy Series and winning in every acting category it was nominated for. The series also won two consecutive GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding Comedy series in 2020 and 2021 for its beloved portrayals of central queer characters David and Patrick.
When the show came to a close after its sixth season, fans were already chomping at the bit for a Schitt’s Creek reunion, and they just might get what they’ve been begging for. In an interview with Town and Country, the series’ creator Dan Levy hinted that the whole cast would be down for a sequel.
“We had such a great time making the show, and I think if the idea is right, I would love to explore what a movie could look like. But, I don’t have that idea yet,” Levy shares. “I’m still searching for it. So, my fingers are crossed, but I also think you need to give people a little time to miss you.”
Meanwhile, Levy’s onscreen sister Annie Murphy has made it abundantly clear that she will drop everything for a Schitt’s follow up. “I mean, I’ve been sending Dan $5 a day in the mail as a bribe,” she jokes with US Weekly.
At least while we all wait for that precious, reunion day to come, we’ll get to pour over every detail of our favorite show in Levy’s new book. Best Wishes, Warmest Regards is already available for preorder through the publishing website and other platforms as well. Get it while you still can!
