DA Omits Eyewitness Accounts from Jalin Seabron’s Murder

Jalin Seabron

George Brauchler, District Attorney, omits two crucial eyewitness accounts in Jalin Seabron’s murder at the hands of Deputy Nicholas Moore. The fatal shooting of 23-year-old Jalin occurred outside the Main Event arcade bar in Highlands Ranch on February 8, 2025 after Deputy Moore responded to reports of gunshots.

According to CPR News, investigators discovered that Jalin was not the person who opened fire at the Main Event. Instead, he was holding a gun to protect his pregnant girlfriend while trying to get her to safety.

Epitome of Black Excellence and Partnership (EBEP), an organization that aims to combat systemic oppression, reached out to DA Brauchler seeking immediate clarity for the omission of two key witness statements in the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) report in the killing of Jalin. Jon Green was an eyewitness that provided a written statement, and Kobe (last name not provided) offered a verbal recount of the events.

“These are not peripheral accounts,” the email sent to DA Brauchler reads. “These are not secondhand reflections. These are eyewitness testimonies—men who bore witness to the final moments of Jalin Seabron’s life. To omit their statements from the investigative materials used to justify what many in our community see not as an officer-involved shooting, but as a modern-day lynching, is an affront not only to justice but to human dignity.”

EBEP has now demanded the following from DA Brauchler in order to preserve public trust in his campaign:

-The immediate release of the written statement by Jon Green and the verbal testimony provided by Kobe at the substation.

-A public explanation for their exclusion.

-A commitment from the DA’s office to engage in a restorative and transparent process with community oversight going forward.

The people of Douglas County deserve transparency from DA Brauchler and will continue to demand accountability for his assault on justice and truth by omitting key eyewitnesses to the murder of Jalin.
