Country stations pull “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town for promoting “the gay agenda”

Wow. We’re in quite a moment for what some perceive as an “LGBT backlash.” From governor’s offices (lookin’ at YOU, Indiana) to contentious halls of state legislature (fingerwag, Georgia!), the anti-gay momentum is picking up steam. Today’s target comes from right-wing radio and the banning of “Girl Crush,” by Little Big Town.
It’s not exactly about lesbianism … but then again, it’s not NOT exactly about lesbianism. The lyrics, sung by a woman, include:
“I want to taste her lips … I want her long blonde hair … I want her magic touch.”
However, those ideas are framed around the notion that she’s not lusting for her, but rather envious of her.
But who knows? You take a listen, see for yourself.
