Conservative influencer denounces Halloween as being a satanic, gay holiday, warning of “evil spiritual principalities” associated with it.
According to The Pink News, on her podcast, Allie Beth Stuckey warned about the association of Halloween and the LGBTQ+ community, stating, “There is, I would say, a big intertwining of Pride and LGBTQ pride with Halloween. People are kind of pushing back against sexual norms through their costumes and through their celebrations.”
Stuckey is (shockingly) a staunch conservative, Christian influencer who was actually friends with the recently deceased right-wing bigot Charlie Kirk, who continues to haunt headlines because apparently even in death, he needs attention.
This past August, Stuckey garnered attention after speaking out about more supposed “demonic influences,” this time in the form of the wildly successful children’s film KPop Demon Hunters, blaiming that it was an example of creeping “paganism” in our culture.
In this Halloween episode of her podcast, Stuckey played a video from fellow Christian influencer Forrest Frank where he claims that Halloween is the most important night for satanists, and that it is “the night of the year where there is the most human sacrifice on the whole planet.”
If this isn’t the most obvious example of bullshitting, then I don’t know what is. There is absolutely no backing behind this, or Stuckey’s later peddling of the discredited theory that satanic ritual abuse is omnipresent on Halloween—a theory originating from the Satanic Panic, a 1980’s moral panic that sensationalized news stories and pop-culture, falsifying that they were satanic.
Despite this vocal resentment for the holiday, Stuckey admits at the end of the podcast that her children still celebrate Halloween. “We do allow our kids to dress up in fun costumes. We do allow them to go to a select few houses and get some candy …We don’t do anything crazy. We don’t do scary movies.”
I love when conservatives just flat-out admit that they’re hypocrites. But whatever, honestly, get conservatives away from Halloween. Apparently it is our holiday, after all.
