CONCHA Latinx Dance Party at Denver Sweet

Womxn Pride presents a new queer Latinx dance party with CONCHA at Denver Sweet on May 3. Concha de Mayo offers a diverse and safe space for the queer Latinx community by highlighting different cultures and music to build an inclusive community. The event will host two dance floors with the main area pumping Latin-American jams (Cumbia, Reaggaeton, Bachata, Dembow, Salsa, Punta, Brazilian Funk, Banda) and the rooftop presenting House beats for a Miami/Ibiza summer vibe. 

In addition to DJ Tatiana/PULSE CTRL and DJ Marvin, Go-Go dancers will be lighting up the party including Leslie (specially flown out from Mexico) and a special surprise on the roof at 9:45pm that you won’t want to miss! The party goes from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. with FREE dance lessons when doors open. Food will be served until closing with vegan and vegetarian options. The rooftop happy hour will take place from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m., offering frozen margaritas, buckets of beer, and more!

Along with highlighting culture through music, CONCHA invites different community organizers to each event to promote and support education initiatives. ViVe Wellness, a local women-run nonprofit that fosters social justice and health and gender equity through social programs, will be offering information and resources like Know Your Rights flash training and volunteer sign ups for those interested in supporting immigration/human rights. Along with ViVe Wellness,  Museo de Las Américas, a Latin American art museum in Denver, will be presenting interactive games about the history of 5 de Mayo and offering complementary admission to the museum for the first 30 people to sign up.
