Colorado SQUID practice at La Alma Rec Center
Swimming Queers United in Denver, the Colorado SQUID Swim Team, was founded in 1992 by a group of athletes preparing for the 1994 Gay Games. Members are currently training for the 2013 IGLA (International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics) Championships, which will be held August 13-18 in Seattle. Summer practices are Sundays, Tuesday and Thursdays at Denver’s La Alma Rec Centerr Pool. All are welcome regardless of sexual orientation, gender, or skill level.
