Celebrate Colorado Gives Day by donating to queer friendly nonprofits
Colorado Gives Day is officially here and you should take the opportunity to donate to the nonprofits that support the queer community.
The annual statewide movement celebrates and increases philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. This year marks the seventh anniversary of Colorado Gives Day, a 24-hour online drive to raise funds for Colorado nonprofits.
Each year, donors take advantage of the fund drive to shower Colorado charities with tens of millions of dollars. Since launching, Colorado Gives Day has raised $111.5 million for local nonprofits.
The inaugural version in 2010 generated $8.4 million from 12,540 donors to 529 charities. Last year, a record $28.4 million was given by 123,000 donors to 1,884 nonprofits.
