From the streets to the park, Boulder’s LGBT community came out Aug. 26-28 for all sorts of fun and Pride. The weekend got off the ground with a huge crowd attending Boulder’s Prop Gay kick off event with a pub crawl and Pride parade down the Pearl Street Mall. More than 300 “passengers” began their Friday night trip with this month’s theme “Come Fly with Me” at Shooter’s Grill & Bar with Air Sickness Bags all ready loaded with complimentary goodies and boarding passes. On Saturday, the Boulder County AIDS Project held its sixth annual fundraiser to a sold out house at the Boulder Center for the arts. Though not an “official” part of OutBoulder’s Pride celebration, Saturday night’s show came on the eve of Sunday’s Boulder Pride Festival. Finally on Sunday, Pride goers were treated to a day of sun and Frenchie Davis.
