This year’s Boston Calling music festival, which took place May 26 to May 28, featured a star-studded lineup ranging from Alanis Morisette to Paramore. The lineup highlighted several LGBTQ+ musicians–including FLETCHER, Joy Oladokun, and Chelsea Cutler.
This year marked the tenth Boston Calling festival after debuting in 2013.

Alanis Morisette took the stage on Saturday night at Boston Calling. She performed her chart-topping song “Ironic” honoring the late Taylor Hawkins, her former bandmate.
Chelsea Cutler donned a Patriots jersey during her set on Friday, pointing toward her Massachusetts roots. Cutler attended college at UMass Amherst before dropping out to pursue music, and Cutler spoke about this show being a special one: her girlfriend’s family, Boston-area locals, were there to join her.

Boston Calling marked FLETCHER’s return to Boston, after performing her sold-out concert at the House of Blues as a part of the Girl of My Dreams tour in October.

Joy Oladokun performed to a packed crowd during the heat of the day on Saturday afternoon. This year’s lineup for Boston Calling included several queer musicians, including Oladokun.
Niall Horan performed songs from his album “The Show,” set to be released in early June. Boston Calling was Horan’s first-ever music festival performance.
