Get your vaccinations and cocktails ready, because everyone’s favorite “clown in a gown” is making her way over to the Paramount Theatre on Thursday, September 23 with her brand-new comedy tour, Unsanitized.
Already hitting America harder than COVID-19, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Six champion Bianca Del Rio is a larger-than-life insult comic who is not afraid to shock or offend.
“Let’s be real—we’ve had a lot go on in the world for the past year and a half,” she says. “We have a new president; we’ve got a plague; we’ve got 52,000 episodes and series of Drag Race going on—where do I begin? What am I not going to talk about? There is so much there, and not to mention, I have just been starved to talk and be around people. I have been trapped in my house going insane like everyone else trying to find an outlet, and we all know social media is not the best place to do it. So, I have been writing notes and hoping that people can relate to the insanity that has become our new world.”
Dubbed as the “Joan Rivers of the Drag World,” Bianca is in a class by herself. She may have snarky frankness, impeccable timing, and politically incorrect humor, but she is always quick to point out that she is the biggest joke of all.
Unsanitized was announced in spring 2021 and is the follow up to Bianca’s 2019 It’s Jester Joke production, which was her fourth global, headlining comedy tour. She made history with It’s Jester Joke by being the first drag queen to perform at Carnegie Hall and Wembley Arena, selling out both venues.
In addition to comedy, Bianca’s credits include actress, designer, businessperson, author, and podcaster, but above all else, one hell of a good time. Among her many accomplishments, Bianca launched her own makeup remover, took her trademark wit and sharp commentary to the page in her book Blame It On Bianca Del Rio: The Expert on Nothing with an Opinion on Everything, starred in the feature films Hurricane Bianca and Hurricane Bianca 2: From Russia with Hate, and is currently host of the popular Bianca Del Rio Podcast.
Recently, she made her West End debut in the hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie playing the role of Hugo/Loco Chanelle.
Although Bianca is constantly on the go, she never misses a chance to connect with fans and is excited to come back to Denver.
“I am very happy to return to Denver,” she says. “It has been a while since I’ve been there. And weed is legal there, so I am all about that. Weed gummies have been my new fascination since the pandemic began!”
