Arvada Center Announces 2024-2025 Theater Season

Located in Arvada CO, the Arvada Center announced their lineup for the upcoming theater season of 2024 and 2025 season. The center prides itself on its stage design, making every seat a great experience for guests to view the stage with their talented team of designers.

The Arvada Center has five titles in their forthcoming season, and their expectation for their performance is to surprise all. Starting August 30, 2024, to May 11, 2025, the center will feature a Broadway hit Waitress, a performance about Jenna, a pie-maker trying to reach her dreams. But struggles with being in an abusive relationship, and escaping her small town.

In the Black Box Theatre, Kate Hamill’s Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really based on the novel by Bram Stoker is a balance between horror and humor. Kate Hamill reimagines a vampire classic and confronts the sexism in Bram Stoker’s original work. Twisting the familiar tropes of damsels in distress and charming villains.

For our fantasy fans, the next play Once Upon A Mattress is set in a fairy-tale kingdom. Where Queen Aggravain disapproves of every potential bride for her middle-aged son. This is unfortunate for the kingdom because no one else is allowed to marry until the prince weds.

“As this season began to take shape, we realized that each of these stories share an upending of expectations,” says Artistic Director Lynne Collins. “They seem to be heading down familiar roads, but then they each surprise with plot twists and characters that subvert the narratives in big and small ways.”

According to their press release, “For the 2024-2025 Theatre Season, the Arvada Center is pleased to present more streamlined, flexible options for season ticket packages. Subscriptions went out on sale on March 15, and single tickets went on sale on July 1.
