Anti-LGBTQ+ Writer Found to be Child Molester
Conservative Christian and anti-LGBTQ+ writer Aaron Craig Gleason has been arrested and charged for molesting a child under the age of 12. He was arrested on January 28 in Okaloosa, Florida, and charged with “lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 12 by a person over the age of 18,” and held for a $75,000 bond.
Gleason has written for many conservative outlets with known anti-LGBTQ+ stances such as The Daily Wire, The Federalist, and the Imaginative Conservative. The Daily Wire has since removed his author page, though it remains preserved on The Internet Archive. On it, he wrote two stories about Brett Kavanaugh, another accused sexual assaulter. Gleason is also one of the many authors to contribute to the belief that LGBTQ+ people are indoctrinating and sexualizing children, making this horrific crime darkly ironic.
One of his posts on X is a response to the New York City Drag March, in response to protesters who are chanting “We’re here; we’re queer; we’re coming for your children,” an ironic and satirical stab back at the very accusation that queer people are “coming for your children.” Unable to take or sense a joke, Gleason replies with “No grooming going on here, they’re just coming for our children.”
Most disturbing of all, Gleason was a middle school teacher and soccer coach at the Rocky Bayou Christian School (RBCS). He has since been put on paid administrative leave. Superintendent Mike Mosley of RBCS sent out an email to all parents and faculty regarding his arrest, stating that “RBCS is fully cooperating with authorities in this matter until authorities have concluded their investigation. Please pray for our school and students during this difficult time.”
This is a dark and sinister reminder that sometimes those who protest too much are deflecting for a reason.
