Despite Obama’s push to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), most Americans believe that those laws are already in place. According to a new YouGov/Huffington Post survey, 69% of Americans think it’s illegal to fire someone due to their sexuality, and 18% are unsure. This means a whopping 13% of Americans know it’s still legal under federal law.
This poll emphasizes the need to pass ENDA or to have Obama sign the executive order currently being drafted that would enact the same sort of details ENDA would.
