6 ways Pride has evolved in Denver

Pride, once a lonely weekend in middle of the year, has evolved as the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities have prospered through the years. Somewhere between yesterday and today, it became OK to be gay everyday. And Pride no longer needs to be celebrated just one weekend of the year. That’s why three Denver entertainers and event producers have launched Evolution, a community event for Pride.

Produced in partnership with The GLBT Community Center of Colorado, Element, Aujay Entertainment and DJ Sinna- G, the Evolution party will feature the best of Denver’s Pride: music, hot men, sexy women, gogo dancers, burlesque, fire performers, a drag show and for the debut DJ Micro.

The party, for those 18 and older, will kickoff at 9 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at Diamond After Dark, 511 W. Colfax Ave. An after-party will start at 2 a.m. and Blush & Blu, 1526 E. Colfax Ave. The after-party will end at 6 a.m.

Pre-sale tickets are $10 here.

And before you go, here are six ways Pride has evolved for Denverites.
